The “Olon Estate” (“Ktima Olon”, in Greek) was built in 2007 by Tasis and Rena Laskaridis and is located at the village of Kontias, Lemnos.
An organic olive grove, fruit trees, a vegetable patch and farm animals co-exist in our estate where we follow organic practices.
As there was no tradition in the production of olive oil on the island – curious to see if our island could produce quality olive oil – we started in 2007 by planting 300 trees of three varieties Koroneiki , Kothreiki (Manaki) and Adramyttini.
After having se the amazing results of our product , we went on and planted more trees growing our olive grove to a total of 1850 trees, including a new variety named Throubolia.
The olive trees, as well as our cold press mill, and our packaging area, are accredited organic/bio by TUV (proof document No #20116220001583).
Our olive oil is is premium extra verging unfiltered.The harvesting is made in mid -October by hands. The oiling is done within 24 hours from the harvest.
We preserve our olive oil in a refrigerator tank until bottling and then kept at 14 -15 degrees until market distribution.
We have received two silver awards in two international competitions in 2021.
Also we have a health clame silver award for 2022 from the international competition (ARISTOLEO) and 2 Gold Award for our olive oil
